Where I'm From Poem

I am from fruit, from strawberries and sweet oranges.

I am from the love and protection of my home.

I am from the oak tree, the rose, the leaves. From the grass, the lily, the beauty.

I am from waiting on the stairs on Christmas morning with my family, and kindness. From Riley and Candice and Lindsie.

Where I'm from tastes like fresh peaches.

I am from the concern of others, and empathy.

From having fun and being outgoing.

Where I'm from sounds like chirping birds and lawn mowers on a summer morning.

Where I'm from smells like fresh baked goodies.

Where I'm from looks as beautiful as Christmas Morning.

Where I'm from feels like love and appreciation; Like "Tinglies" running through my spine.
